Ive been using 3.5mm plugs and tubes for my cell connections for a couple of years now and never had any trouble until last week.

Now, normally when the speedo is installed in the truck there is no way it can be connected up backwards (reverse polarity) right? as the wires are too short.
but when you remove the speedo and have it flipped upside down in your hand to inspect the underside, there is a real chance that the two power wires will flop down and touch the tubes on the end of the cells. :035:
If your dumb enough to leave them in the truck that is................

what happens next??
Flash , smoke , and the whiff of dead electronics.:036: ........followed by hoots of laughter from your Nitro burning mates, and a big pair of donkey ears for you to wear.............

So if you plan on removing your speedo from the truck , just make sure those cell packs are as far away as possible.........:027: :028:
