14 cells would be very nice for the 3600. The 3600 should stay below 15 cells to be within its rated rpm limits. I have seen Candyman's video before. He has a hell of a nice truck! I agree, also, that a dual setup offers no real advantage to a properly selected single setup. The dual motors he used are capable of about half the power of the basic XL motors (he used regular basic motors), so it would make sense that a basicxl would likely beat his truck by simply being lighter. Batteries of course make a tremendous difference in overall performance(am I repeating myself!?). I like the 3600 on 12 cells, personally (I even like the 3100 on 12 cells). I race on a track, though, which a little different than your intended purpose, so you could push it a little harder without much trouble.
