If they were the same with different heatsinks, then the Monster version would most likely also be making its debut. I'm about 95% sure they're different. Recently I was given the information that the Monster version will also be advertised toward the 1/8 buggy market.
You could try the Mamba Max on 12 cells with a 7XL and report how well it does, if you plan on buying it anyways for a 1/10 car.
