Easiest/quickest way to build an e-REVO? - 07.24.2006, 11:06 AM

I've been away from the RC hobby for a long time (10+ years), and things have really changed! On a friend's recommendation, I picked up a lightly used REVO 2.5 on eBay and I've been running it on nitro. The truck performs great, it's really amazing, but all the threads on this forum about electronic conversions have me thinking about alternatives. Electric just sounds so much more appealing to me, without all the noise, fuels, and mess. My question is, what's the easiest path to a brushless e-revo for a newbie? Right now, it looks like a "bolt-together" solution would be the HV-Maxx brushless system, e-maxx transmission, Gorilla G2R chassis, and a decent set of NIMH batteries. Thoughts?

Could you guys give me any pointers on what else needs upgrading, replacing, etc., to make this work? I won't be racing the truck, just playing.
