Since the UBEC is digital, I mounted mine right next to the receiver, but used a piece of aluminum as shielding to prevent reduction in radio range. I don't think I have to worry really since I'm using a Spektrum, but I try to keep all noisy electronics as far from the receiver and antenna as possible. I also used some rubberized weather stripping as padding because it is so thick.
