For 18 cells, the xl2000 will probably be a better choice. Especially with the 7018 controller. The 7018 controller works great with the xl2800 on 12-14 cells, but with higher cell counts comes more weight and the xl2000 would be the better option. It would be plenty fast and powerful as well.
