A center diff will give speed maybe not directly. There is less drivetrain drag with a center diff but not sure how much this helps in speed.
The center diff will give you the ablity to run a very high gear ratio. Much higher than you can get with a trans. Which equals higher speed in low rpm set ups. The best gain with the center diff is it will keep the front wheels on the ground(mostly:027: ).
That 1950/10 on 6s is what I would call a low RPM set up and will need a tall gear to get speed. Just keep adding gear to it and watch your temps. If it cogs your pulling the trigger to slow:) .
