If you run too many cells on the internal BEC, it will thermal if not burn up. Anything over 10v will get it hot quick, especially when using high power servos on a heavy MT. A receiver pack should be cheap and easy to get until you get a UBEC.

Like I said, the wire order doesn't matter unless it runs backwards. Just hook any wire on the controller to any wire on the motor. It truly doesn't matter.

Does the motor stutter when you give it throttle, or does it not do ANYTHING?

Did the motor make the beeping sounds when you were programming the ESC?
