You basically just answered you own question...One has a built in heatsink and one doesn't...The black one has a screwed on endbell instead of a press on one like the purple one. There basically the same thing....Get the C version. The standard has the pressed on endbell that can possible pop off and ruin the motor (thats why the RC-M heatsink has a bar across the back).
