After a certain speed, wind resistance starts to become a serious limitation. Unfortunately, without all the aerodynamic figures from all the different vehicles, it is extremely difficult to factor this in.

For a while, I was toying with the idea of calculating in some type of speed derating after a certain speed, but don't know what I should use. A MT will have a steeper derating than a pan car so it would still be quite difficult. I ended up not doing it so people can get a more accurate ideal calculation. Although I did add in a disclaimer on the "top speed" page:
