You could use a Mamba Max ESC if you plan on using 4s Lipo. A UBEC is a good idea if you want to save some weight.

A highway patrol officer clocked my X-Terminator at 42mph. At this point the motor has been running at under 130 deg. driving on the street with Proline Road Rage tires (good traction). I'm using a Mtroniks Truck ESC (had it laying around), and it's running well. It hasn't exceeded 110 deg. in the same driving, and the batts have been under 90 deg.

Make sure to post some pics of the motor mount when it is finished. I'm very curious to see how Mike does it.
