Doesn't matter which wires go where. Just hook them up, and if it rotates backwards, swap two of the wires. Doesn't matter which ones. That's it.

Believe it or not, a direct conversion says that a 24-25t pinion on a 5300 = a 17t on a 7700.

With such different motors and kvs, it's hard to say how it will compare.

I would start with a 24t and see how it works.
