Anyone heard from Mike? I placed an order sunday and sent a couple of e-mails and haven't heard back.

I’ve had a terrible time getting in touch too.
Trying to spend money with him, but my parts requests go unanswered… :(

I placed an order Sunday and yesterday and got the "shipped" message last night.
With that said, he's incredibly busy. I understand that he does a lot of custom requests in addition to the rest of the business.
Sometimes I get the "shipped" e-mail the same day it gets here, so your shipment from Sunday is likely already on its way even though you haven't received the shipping e-mail yet.
He's down by the river ... walking on water.

I haven't seen a shipped email or anything! Sounds like he needs some employees!

If I lived anywhere near him, I'd help for free just to support a great guy and his awesome business. It'll be interesting to see how big it gets as more people go brushless!

Totally agree with you Kulangflow. I would like to give a hand, too. The very least I might do is assemble some vehicles and solder motors, controllers, batts and so forth, but I live very far away.
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!

I have been trading emails with him the past two days. He is extremely busy. But no matter what, he always comes through.

Ditto on that. I have been working with Mike on some custom parts and he is always prompt, given the circumstances. I just recieved an email from him today. He ships fast in my experience.

monster status report -
03.20.2008, 02:28 PM
I have seen the guy - short, dark haired fellow with striking good looks and he is usually working on something(or several things). Rather friendly little monster! :)
I am working on getting some help around here, but it isn't as easy as hiring some monkey, unfortunately. I get 50-100 emails a day at peak times, so I am faced with the difficult choice of either commiting all my time to email, or making parts to satisfy the orders that come through daily. I usually take a few hours during the morning for email, and commit the afternoon and nights to parts - I do get behind on emails for sure - and I hate this fact probably more so than the folks waiting for email replies. I will get to the mail, though(unless it is caught in a filter).
I never intentionally ignore an email - even a silly question, but it does eat a lot of time. Sometimes a 2nd email helps "kick me in the butt", as the inbox is pretty big these days.
I also try to continually develop new parts, and I have several large projects that I am slowly making progress on (new products for the hobby that will continue to keep the RC-Monster faithful at the forefront of the electric takeover). I do get help from a few folks - Rene(Serum) is a huge asset - too bad he lives a VERY LONG Drive and a VERY LONG swim away - Rene - you are the man.
There are others as well - not all members here on the forums, though. I am working towards a larger facility that will allow on site employees - simply not an option at this point(anyone who has been in the "Monster's Lair' knows this fact). It will happen, and systems are being worked out to allow better communication, faster part production and continued innovation - just takes some time.
:)
