Thanks...I bought myself a present...I've pre-ordered a new Tamiya Grasshopper! The car which started my RC obsession...I've been searching high and low for one new in box and now that Tamiya has re-released it I'm very happy...

YEAH!!! i saw them too!! the re-releases!!! i had a Frog, but i hated that weak drivetrain (with my low turn hand winded brushed 540 Mabuchi the drivetrain was crap) the grasshopper was more durable.. (weird but true) later i bought a Monster beatle.. I was hooked to monstertrucks.. I couldn't afford the clodbuster, that was the wet one, standing in the RC store.. (from my drewl) Holy Moly.. that was one hot truck then.. TWO motors.. they also made a model with a gearbox that could shift.. It was blue i remember, a Ford if i recall corectly..

they also re-released vanessa's lunchbox..

I just got carried away with my Toy Emotions, forgive me.. You bought yourself a nice present!

Bruiser and Moutanieer are serious...those are amazing especially considering how long ago they were made. Nothing like that being made today (that I'm aware of).

There was a completely mint Bruiser on ebay a week or so ago.It had never been used, origional box, decals never even applied. It went for around $1200.I was very tempted!

My first RC was the Manta Ray.So a little later than the Grasshopper and Hornet which is also re-released. I remember me and my friend hucking his monster beetle off the shed roof back in around '95 maybe '94.Ah,those were the days:Love:

I think my first rc was a buggy. I think it came from best products. I thought i Had something. Had a whopping 540 motor. I think that was back around the late 80s. The good days.

happy b-day dave. I was thinking of picking up one of the releases too. The hornet was my first car and they released it again a few months ago.
