Go Hyperion.

Alot less BS, and true ratings.

If I had to choose which one will perform better, my money would be on Hyperion.

Hyperion has had GREAT reviews, where as Maxamps has been surrounded by ALOT of Controversy and puffed cells.

Definately the Hyperion. If I could choose any lipo when money is no object, hyperion would be my choice. You'll quickly find no one here likes maxamps, and hopefully we can keep this thread civil.

Go for the Hp G3's, I agree as well. I have a pair of 3s 4200 VX's in my Revo, the motor SCREAMS, begs for mercy!

They are the best value in high end lipo packs, and just simply amazing packs, plain and simple. Hyperion makes some serious claims with these puppies. My 6s G3 packs seems like 6.5s Enerland based cell pack. My enerland based 25C packs can do ~3.3+volts/cell @ 20C discharge, whereas the G3 pack holds ~3.7v/cell @ 20C discharge, in the same point in runtime discharge, between 2-3 minutes into runs.

60c is the surge rating, not the burst rating- surge rating is something created by MA to sell more lipos. Going by their older rating system, those '60c' cells are more likely 20c continuous, 40c burst- 60c surge....

I think that was quite civil by my standards...

Neil, why so ornery?

Without a doubt Hyperion! A true rated cell! They are phenomenal in comparison to some other cells I have used!

Hyperion...

Rather than say why, I'll just point out that the current count as of my post is ~10 to zero in favor of Hyperion...

Coming from someone who has owned 6 Maxamps lipos, get the Hyperion packs!

Definitely the Hyperion. I have a pair of VX G3 5000 in my Flux and they are fantastic. I can't be civil about MA so I'll not say a word.
