eagletree question - 03.08.2009, 04:04 PM

I was wondering how well does an eagletree measure if you go over the rated amps? I was looking at the 100a version ,but I know it will e over that with peaks.does it still measure correctly? I also know there is a 150a version but its more expensive and I'm cheap.

IIRC my 100A version recorded amp spikes near to a 120A. But if you think that your system will draw more current I recommend you to get the higher version.
I regret that I didn't get the 150A version at the first place. Just my opinion..

My V2 logger never has any problems over 100 amps.

Neither has mine, though the casle neu 2650 rarely breaks 100 amps for more than 1/10 of a second in the first place, though many setups can draw over 1000 amps in a millisecond time frame. You also can't get the 150a version with integrated deans connectors. The integrated deans make it possible to mount cleanly in my 8ight and still fit the body over.

I have the V3 150amp model and have seen spikes in the 180amp range. I sent several e-mails to Eagle Tree asking about amp draw above the 150amp rating, but I have not recieved any answers. I was concerned about accuracy above the rated valuse and if it could be damaged by too many amps.
