click when braking hard!

click when braking hard! - 03.26.2009, 09:00 PM

Just made a few runs tonight on a raze st and heard a click when braking hard a couple differant times. almost sounds like a diff .hard to tell which one. whats the best way to shim diffs? lmk.

check your output cup set screws/cvd setscrews. I had the same problem, and it ended up being a loose setscrew allowing the cup to rotate on the pinion. the screw hitting the edge of the flat spot was causing the noise

I think it is my pinion bevel and diff bevel gear no meshing right. might need a shim.

yeah mine is the rear diff also. I'm going to have to get a new set of gears and then shim.
