Convert 8ight-e 2.0 Buggy to Truggy?

I picked up an 8ight-e 2.0 and want to play with both a truggy and buggy so I thought I would also pickup the parts to convert it. I've done some searching on google and the forums and didn't find much so I was hoping someone could chime in that has first hand experience with the 8ight-e 2.0 buggy or truggy. What does it take to convert it?

It takes ALOT, Basically everything besides, Wing mount/Center diff/Radio tray/Steering assembly and top plate.

Just sell the buggy and buy a truggy or have both .

Download both manuals and compare part numbers. I think by the time you add up the cost, it would be cheaper to just get a used roller, and swap electronics.

Truggies have a longer chassis and arms and eevrything associated with them. That means all driveshafts, axleshafts, turnbuckles, longer shocks, etc. Front, center, rear diffs, and maybe the steering assembly are about all that is the same.

I always found buggies more fun to bash than truggies. If I was going to bash something truggy sized it might as well be a monster truck. The closest I have found to ideal would be the muggy, basically a cross between a truggy and the lst. I still like the lst for stunts, but the muggy turns much better due to the center diff. The 8 series share a fair amount with the lst/muggy (at least in the drivetrain dept) and the designs "feel" familiar as well. I would sugest a converted lst if you want a great basher.

Thanks, I think I will give that a try. I took the buggy out a bit and was surprised at how tough and fun it is. I wouldn't have guessed so beforehand since I come from more of the MT side but it's an impressive package.

You can 100% beat the crap out of a muggy.Know this by first hand experience with my 4 year old running his.They are bullet proof. Its currently nitro, but hopfuly uncle sam will provide the funds,and lincpimp will provide me with his nowledge to make this a non combusting electric animal.??????

Could u swap muggy tires and rims with the 8ight ?
Would the 8ights rims work on the muggy .

You would need the optional 17mm hubs for the Muggy, stock is 20mm.
