MMM, external BEC required? -

Hi Guys,
Looking to use a MMM V3 in a setup, been reading about people using external BEC's, are these necessary do you think? Thanks! |

no,
the MMM has an internal switching BEC, at this point, the only advantage to running an external BEC is the ability to run higher voltagags to the servo. the porthole from the noob world an here has been opened!! that's how i got in. |

no, they have switching BEC's that do their job just fine. the v3 is a lot better than the v1 and v2.
no external bec required....as long as you stay with 6s (7s LiFe) or lower....these aren't meant to be run out of spec. |

Another vote for no external BEC. I've had 2 and never had a BEC problem.
