my bro is building a robot for collage. he wants to use this esc http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXN643&P=0 and 2 of these motors http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LX2426&P=0 for a robot. My bro wants to use the esc and have dual motors. I doubt its posible. They have a limited budget (schol is paying for it), and they have to put teh sale price. Cant buy used. Help my bro out. Find the cheapest setup. Not sure what the weight of teh robot will be, but i'll post it up eventually. it'll use a TANK SYTLE tires thing. So im not sure how that'll factor in with gearing. and sadly, for cash efficeeny, the system will have to be brushed...

How big? You could make it out of hacked servos and simple wheels and tires, and use a evelon mixer (think that's the name) to make a 2 ch pistol radio do the throttle and steering. For anything bigger, hit www.robotcombat.com for cheap motors. If you want even cheaper and 550 and smaller motors, www.allelectronics.com has some sweet stuff, including the famous $3.50 Johnson 550.

I would not reccomend putting an 11t motor in a robot. You'll want something much slower and torquey. Robotcombat is the place to go, plus they also sells materials, batteries and pretty much everything you'll need

The robot is actually going to be for a competition where ping pong balls are going to be distributed into corners of a small track. The goal is not going to be torque but speed. The esc's are now http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXD523&P=6 with http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJBY4&P=7 for the motors. There will be 2 ESC's controlled by a PIC microcontroller board, one for each motor. I don't actually know what the final weight is going to be but it will likely be around 7 pounds. This is not going to be remote controller, it's going to be autonomous (self-controlled). BTW, this is his brother.
