Just a thought - 09.22.2009, 12:29 PM

Anyone ever consider, or try running a low turn (18.5, 21.5) novak/lrp (roar sensored) motor on 4s through something like an rx8?

Sensored startups, low kv(~2500kv) and high voltage to finally find a spot where these motors would run cool?

Im thinking about running this setup in my slash with buggy tires..

Any input?

In a 2wd ST I ran a Trinity 13.5 on 3s Lipo, but sensorless. The power of these motors simply is weak in comparison to other stuff I have run, including CC motors. But if you already have the motor laying around then it's not such a bad idea

I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to get one of these motor's to try either. They may work well but the numbers aren't there...

Did it in my TC3 and it's fun . I was testing my ESC with 4S using the internal BEC and it did pretty good.

Well there is this on-road carpet track near where I live. If I run stock class I'll have to buy a 17.5 motor. The esc will be the MM pro, and of course I am going to test it with my Hyperion G3 3300 mAh 6s pack, so there you go...
