RX8 is dead.... so I thought - 04.01.2010, 03:23 AM

I was about to go out and test my new Tekin system after changing my shocks and center diff but I only manage to run 10 feet nefore the ESC stopped. No sounds, no smoke, nothing. I ran it last Sunday afternoon 1 pack for 12 minutes) and I was raving how smooth it was compared to the Castle system but now it's dead. I have 2 more spares so I'm going to solder and install another one so I'm hoping it will not die too.

This sucks.

My setup are as follows:

Hyperion 5S 4300mah 25C lipo
46/15 with 20k oil on CD
Kyosho ST RR
Hitec 5955TG servo

Everything but the LVC is default. 4th light is on when connected to the Hotwire.

Edit: So I thought that my RX8 is dead but apparently it's not. I connected another battery and everything worked. With this in mind, I pulled out my Fluke multimeter and checked the voltage of the Hyperion. I got a reading of 16 volts when it was just freshly charged. I checked the cells on the balancer and one of the cells read 1.17V while the other 4 were reading 4.18.

So all is well.... False alarm .

By the way, on the MMM, it's punch control. What is it on the RX8?

Castle Neu 1520 on 6S LiPo Powered Gmaxx (Nitro Killer)
Predator with OS .21TM
Supermaxx with Mach .26
Revo with OS .18TZ
Kyosho ST-RR Conversion
Ofna CR with Tekin ESC/Motor (2)
