a thread in my brand new CC2200 malformed? - 06.05.2010, 04:54 PM

one of the threads in my brand new CC2200kv motor stripped when installing it into my new lx-1e.

i have had at least a dozen motors and i know how much force it takes to strip a m3 mounted motor. i didn't even put any real force on the screw at all before it stripped.

btw, ofna uses those retarded 2.87m screws for their motor mount. i tossed them aside as soon as i took them out of the package. i used genuine, high quality m3 screws; the same ones i use for all my vehicles and motors.
i can still use the motor, but it doesn't sit right in my buggy now because i had to rotate the motor on the mount.

is there any way i can get the front endbell for the motor without ordering the whole repair kit?

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
