feigao users help please? - 07.12.2010, 02:37 AM

HI
On these race weekend I've burned two motors (medusa 36/70/2000 and a turnigy xl) becuse of carelessness and long motor screws. Now I've only one feigao 8xl left and don't want to burn it down. What is the max mounting screw lenght for feigao motors?

Have you tried using a toothpick or something to measrue the hole depth in the motor? Stick the screw you plan to use in the motor mount and measure how much protrudes into the motor then compare that to how deep the holes are in the motor.

Hope that was clear enough.

it will largely depend on your motor mount. why don't you just run Mike's front motor covers? they're freakin' fantastic and will save virtually ANY motor.

I saw this part on the store but couldn't get it's function. How does it eliminates winding damage?

because the motor screws never enter the can at all. the cover is held in place by (4) 3mm screws that use the motor holes we do for mounting.

so then there are 4 more holes that are the depth of the spacer that we use for mounting the motor itself. those are the holes we use for mounting.

it's a great investment. i have one on every motor i own.
