Latest firmware, no field link? - 01.22.2011, 02:10 PM

I just received my Sidewinder SCT system. It came with the original SCT firmware (v1.29). I tried upgrading it to the latest (v1.31) and noticed the filed link card doesn't recognize the controller anymore. I ended up going back to v1.29 and all is well. Just wondering if this is the norm for new firmware versions? Do we need to wait for some new firmware for the card? I plugged the field link card into the PC and allowed it to do some update it wanted to do to the card, but that didn't seem to make a difference.

Thanks

I have the latest firmware on the card and ESC and I'm having the same problem. I can program the ESC with a PC, but the card won't work standalone.

Yep, I was able to reproduce the issue by going back and forth between v1.29 and v1.31. For now, I have just gone back to v1.29 because I like being able to change settings in the field.

Thanks for confirming that I'm NOT going crazy. I swear that I updated the firmware on both twice the other night trying to get it to work.

OK my guess is that they missed providing updated firmware for the FL to work with 1.31 then... Whoops 1.31a on its way perhaps.
