question about brakes on the mamba max pro

i've noticed that my mmp dosen't have any where near the brake capacity as other escs i've seen.

i've changed the brake settings to 100% and i still feel like it's no where near what it's supposed to be.

Do i need to re calibrate my esc everytime i change the brake setting on the castle link or field programmer? that's the only thing i can think of that i might not be doing.

any help is appreciated.
