Question Which Ultramaxxed Generation is Which? - 06.27.2006, 01:01 AM

Does anyone know the difference between Ultramaxxed Gen II and Gen III?
I have a set with steel pins between the drive slots, and a set without. Which is which?

the gears thet do not have the steel pin insets are gen II, while the ones that do are the gen III's....(the pins are inserted into the 1st/2nd gears where the shift dog pins make contact.

actually serum.... the gen II and the III used the brass idlers.....gen I where just the gears and the shift dog w/ ue idlers...but everything was hard anadized teflon coated (i think that what Dan used).....I was one of the testers for the Gen II gears....and then after that Dan made another improvement and added the steel pins..for a steel-to-steel contact......if you dont belive I was a tester goto this link....I'm on the bottom of the page...

I was not saying the gen II didn't used brass gears, i was only telling what i knew. Which is that the genIII's use brass idlers.. there was this discussion going on here earlier saying that it wasn't brass, while i was pretty sure it was.

I don't doubt a word you are saying sjcrss.

What setups are you currently using?
