I believe if you look around, you'll find that same radar gun cheaper than that.

If your gonna do it just get this. Its small and straps right onto a buggy or truggy wing perfectly. Super easy to capture top speeds, you dont need a second person to be the "radar man". and still pretty cheap. I have been using one for a few months now and its good. and pretty durable. its survived a few high speed crashes already.

jhautz, what's the top speed that it can record?

I might just grab one of these. I'm breaking too many speed laws following my rc car in my truck just to see how fast it's going.

I had it on in my car on the expressway on the way home from a bash and when I got home and looked at it it had recorded 90 something mph. Thats the highest I have tested it at.

Highest in an rc was 60.5mph in my Matrix. It records in .1mph increments and seems accurate.

Well, I think that 90 is enough. I think I'll grab one. Thanks for the link.

well if you want a cheap radar gun you can just buy a hotwheels radar gun at wal mart for $20 which isnt to bad, its obviously not 100% accurate but it gives you an idea.

Those actually don't give a accurate reading at all. I read somewhere about it being 10mph off on average...And thats if you can get a reading...
