Li-Po beating question

OK, we all know that we must use special care when handling/charging li-po.
But my question is, when we run the truck, or buggy, and we land big jump, is this is dangerous for li-po??
On a monster truck, the suspension absorbe alot of stress, but in an 1/8 scale buggy, it's the frame how take the major stress on a big jump landing.
I try to strap the li-po the better i can in the batterie tray, with foam all around it, but is the stress and vibration in off-road condition can kill a li-po, make it catch in fire, etc????

Unless the shock of the landing causes the LiPo to shift and coincidentally dent/puncture/tear itself on another part of the vehicle, then no, hard landings are not bad for LiPo's. Make sure there are no possibly sharp points within the battery tray. Or just make it so that the LiPo cant move at all. I think you're all set if you have it surrounded by foam already. Just don't go landing squarely on a rock when you're out bashing.

That's good to know. When I finally get my hands on the parts to finish my savage I wan't to put lipo's in it. When I do you can bet it will get a massive beating. The Lipo in my mini-t is still working and that hit a car tyre at full stick.

Thank's for the infos, because i was hesitate between swaping my revo or my RC8 buggy into brushless, but i want a thrue racing machine, so i'll convert the buggy.

No problem, guys. I actually can't think of any battery type that IS sensitive to shock besides lead-acid types. Even that is only true for the liquid electrolyte type. The SLA and Optima type are fine.

I've been beating on mine (some for over a year) and they have got scuffs and scratches, but no damage. I do follow the charging rules, but they are tough and stable, through the rough stuff
