Red face Truck, Truggy, Muggy, Buggy ?????? - 02.05.2008, 02:07 AM

Sorry to need to ask what seems to be a common knowledge question, but I just havn't picked up the awnsers yet like I thought I would.

Would someone please break down for me what quantifies each as such...

Truck
Truggy
Muggy
Buggy

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

Truck: Truck or stadium, generally a 2WD truck of 1/10th scale

Truggy: A Truck and a Buggy put together, 4WD but with the design makeup of a buggy.

Muggy: A large scale 4WD design makeup of a buggy built like a truggy and larger than a truck.

Buggy: 4WD buggy

A buggy is like a truggy but it's called a buggy, a truggy is like a buggy but it's called a truggy, a muggy is like a buggy, truggy and a truck but it's called a muggy, a truck is like a truggy but it's called a truck, but since a truggy is like a buggy, a trucks is kind a like a buggy as well. (center differential).

😀

Ok here I go!

Truck: On this forum we are usually discussing monster truck, 10th scale or larger. It can also be any rc vehicle with a truck type body and truck sized wheels and tires.

Truggy: A truggy is basically an 1/8 scale buggy that has had its chassis lengthend and track widened. They usually run mt sized wheels and tires. They are easier to drive than a buggy and work better on rough tracks. Not as precise as a buggy

Muggy: This is a team losi vehicle that is basically a flat chassis (like a truggy) with lst2 suspension on each end. To heavy in my opinion and not as good as a lst2 due to the lack of a tranny.

Buggy: Generally this is 1/8 scale 4wd, however they make 10th scale versions too in 4wd and 2wd.

Hopefully that helps

Truck- depends what your looking at, a genral rule is that 1/8th scale are built beefier.

Buggy- 1/8th scale buggy are built on a 1/8th scale platform, 1/8 scale is build alot tougher then your average 1/10scale. 1/8 scale buggys have larger stronger diffs/ center diff/ and usually built for pure racing.

Truggy- basically is a 1/8th scale buggy but with a longer chassis/wider arms, and usually a different diff gear ratio to compensate for the truck tires.

Muggy- There's only one muggy and thats made by losi, a Muggy is a LST with a center diff and pan chassis.

EDIT* LOL im to late!

I thought it was like this:
Buggy - was where it started, its the normal 1/8th little wheel 4wd most common off road racer you see.
Then there was monster truck racing.
In between there is a:
Truggy - like a MT/buggy cross, but closer to the buggy end
Muggy - MT/buggy cross, but closer to the MT end of the scale.

Buggy and truggy are types of vehicles, Muggy is the name of a specific vehicle by Team Losi.

Thanks guy's I feel enlightened. I guess I had the right understanding, I just wasn't hip to the muggy being a losi only thing.

So that was my "should have known" question for the week. I'll have another sooner or later.
