I have the 1.5d and run it on 4s with 22/58 gearing. That may be a good starting point for you.

I will give that a go.

I am also looking for some good lipo's.
I dropped my eye on these http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...o5000-3s1p-25c, but would it fit in the E-Revo's battery compartment?

62/24 = 57mph
65/24 = 54mph
62/22 = 52mph
65/22 = 50mph
62/20 = 48mph
65/20 = 46mph
68/20 = 44mph
65/18 = 42mph
68/18 = 40mph

Try that on for size.

Unless Im mistaken, the largest 3s lipo packs you can fit are 5000mah, though dimensions do vary a little from manufacturer to manufacturer. if you remove the springy clips from inside the battery trays, that should allow a little more room. Also, with the taller gearing you may find the fins on your motor hit the transmission before the gears mesh.

Thnx i have ordered a couple of them.
But i still cant make up my mind about the 3s lipo's. I want some good ones this time, like the Flightpower or Neuenergy, but the problem still is, would they fit the E-Revo.

Jan Donga,
Here is a thread that may help;
http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13625

also these should fit
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...C_-_50C_Lipoly

so should these, but they are out of stock here...
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s..._3S_25C_Lipoly

as well as these, but it will be close
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=7240

I took some measurements when I was wondering the same thing...
You can't read it very well but the measurement on the right is 10mm

So you can do 30X165X51 or 20X180X51

good luck with the search

Flightpower/Thunderpower, Neu and Polyquest all use Enerland cells, you cant go wrong with either of them....much better than Maxamps

True Rcs are good bang for the buck, not at FP level

The TRC 5000's are rated at 50A - 75A. The 1515/1Y needs something that can handle 110A.

Take (mAh) X ("C"rating) / 1000 to get Amps.

So a 10C 5000mAh battery only gets 50A. (10 X 5000 /1000 = 50)

Thats why I recommended the batteries I did.

1)Polyquest 4500mAh 3S 30C - 50C Lipoly
4500 X 30 =135000 / 1000 = 135 Amps Continous
4500 X 50 =225000 / 1000 = 225 Amps Burst

2)Polyquest 5000mAh 3S 25C Lipoly
5000 X 25 = 125000 / 1000 = 125 Amps Continous

3)ZIPPY-R 4800mAh 25C 3S1P
4800 X 25 = 120000 / 1000 = 120 Amps Continous

If you use a battery rated for less amps than your motor needs then you run the risk of damaging your battery to a point of failure. (poof!)

As for the CD...

I do not have one, but everywhere I read ppl say that w/o proper set up, all the power unloads to the front wheels and causes ballooning. They also say getting one properly set up is a P.I.T.A. Unless you want to spend alot of time reassemling the diffs, it's not worth having. For the CD to work correctly, you need to have the right balance of diff fluids in the front and back...this seems to be alot of work to get the balance right.

Yeah i know, but i am still a bit skeptic about the size.
I would really like to have the 5000mAh Neu, Filightpower or the Polyquest pack, they are all about the same size.
But i don't want to order packs that wont fit, i want to be sure before i order something
The trueRC packs was just a question btw

(scrapping the CD from the list)

and thnx for the advice so far

I dont have a E Revo , but a converted 3.3 Revo but from what I have heard from posters on this forum and others and reps from Traxxas is that the compartments will hold either a 2s 8000 or 3s 5000 packs...and dont be afraid to modify your rig...I think thats half the fun......
