For Sale/Trade forum Mike? - 09.06.2005, 01:30 AM

Hi
I realize Mike is here to make money, but I was wondering if there will ever be a for sale/trade forum here. I one or two emaxx items to sell that are not sold in the store at this point in time so there would be no direct competition/loss of sales situation.

It's been asked before my friend..

We are pretty busy with the entire forum allready, a T&B section simple takes more attention than a normal thread imo..

Does that mean we can post items for sale somewhere, or no?

Well, here's what I have for sale. I have 28+ all positive feedback under Badgerboy1970 on ebay. The following items are from my emaxx and had only two runs on them before my EVX blew up so all items are in excellent condition.

GA 7075 Front and Rear Bulks and braces

GA 3mm Ti skids Front and Rear

Xtreme racing Emaxx carbon fiber racing chassis (this is the non-brushless original version)

I would prefer to sell all these together PM me for details.

I'm pretty certain I've seen others post their used goodies around here. Sounds like, as Serum indicated, it requires too much time to manage a B/S/T forum...which ultimately takes away from other site management duties.

You didn't put them ebay see what you get. Just a thought. Seems a like a good deal for the stuff. I have a pile of stuff to. Need to sell some of it as well. Good luck to you.

Peace!

The goal of the site is primarily to keep the information flowing so new and current customers have an effective means of getting answers to the questions they have. It is also a friendly place to chat about r/c(General discussion) and a place where I can show my support and dedication to the hobby to build trust, help those in need, and hopefully, build sales through this trust and dedication!

The buy/sell/trade topic has been brought up before, but I prefer to keep the site a bit more focused on support, information and the fun of the hobby. We have a great forum here(at least I think so), with many excellent, helpful and well knowing members with a great, helpful attitude. Also, the members here are into the hobby, into brushless(many), into r/c in general and are here to share ideas and information. I am not convinced that a buy/sell/trade area would truly be a positive thing, as it would likely bring along folks just looking to sell vs. being here for the long term, using the forum as the vehicle it is-support, fun, information, ideas, knowledge etc.. If a member has a few posts and is an active participant in the forums and they have an item to list for sale, I allow this to a degree in the General discussion area(though I only want to see a listing of the items, with pricing and other info shared through the private message system).

These are my thoughts on the b/s/t forum. I hope all the members can understand and appreciate my position on this. Sorry for the long winded post. :)

Hit the nail on the head Mike, I run a 900 member RC forum and about 40% of them have just signed up to use the For Sale area. We have had our share of dodgy sales too!

Keep your forum how it is, thats why I'm here, luuurve it. :D

One way to become a big forum...

The thing is, people need to come here to share information, not to buy/sell 2nd hand stuff.

Have to charger for the service mike. Make you a rc ebay. I like the forum the way it is. I have some thing to sell. I will put it up on ebay. There is a lot of threads here. Some time hard to find the one you need. If you have to dig through all the other b/s/t items you may get lost. I understands mikes view. some time I type more than should so I'm done. :)

i agree with the majority. I here for the info. not looking for parts. For that, i go to my LHS or ebay.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
