Cc Bec - 06.16.2008, 06:46 PM

I just scored one of Ebay to run with the MM. What should I set it at? Also is it programmable with the Castle link? Also what should I set the MM @ for LVC? Thanks guys.

P.S. I will be running 2 2s 8k packs in series so a total of 4s.

Yes, it is programmable with the Castle Link. I set mine at about 6.3V, it's really up to you. And the LVC should be set at 12V, but if you are loading your system heavy, go for 13V just for added security. For easy running 12V LVC is quite alright.

I set mine at 6.0 and when I put a meter on it I got 5.9, so I'd say set it at 6.2-6.4 and DO double check your output with a voltmeter before connecting to the rx.

I have gone away from the CC BEC I have heard too many stories of them failing and than instead of not allowing current to flow they do and will fry at least your Rx, I have since bought a Western Robotics HV BEC wich is rated up to 60v, they can be set at 6v and if you run a steering servo that has at least 250 in/ozs you wont notice a difference between 6vs and 5vs.

As fas as LVC is concerned I set mine at 3.3vpc, I have found that the vehicle has just started to slow down at his point and it gives you a little extra insaurance against allowing the votage to go down too low
