LVC on MMM - 06.29.2008, 12:58 AM

can i run my lipos until the lvc on the MMM kicks in?do you guys do that?im worried because they say you cant run lipos lower than 3v/cell and what if the discharge rates on each cell are not equal.im tired of worrying about over discharge, keeping track of running time, etc while running.id really prefer to run til the LVC kicks in.in addition, ive never really taken my batts to the limit.maximum charge i put back is 3600mah so i still dont know what my max runtime is

For best life of lipo's, you should only run about 80% out of the pack. I run LVC at 3.25/cell, but I see a drop in power before it kicks in. I rarely run them down that far though (or try not to).

it gets so frustrating when you end your run just to be safe then find out you still have a lot of juice left on your lipos

How does the mah come into it with LVC? I have 5S 5000mah and have my LVC set at 3.4V per cell. After 35 minutes my battery started to go a little slow so I stopped it and it still had around 17.6v left and when I charged the battery it charged 4780mah so it nearly was at 5000mah, so wouldn't I run out of mah before voltage is to low?

I think if you are running quality cells that could be the case

It seems some people prefer a little more cushion...
