My e-revo "EVO" thus far: Pics inside - 11.10.2005, 10:13 PM

First off I would like to thank Dafni because him and his creation are what inspired myself and a buddy to ditch all of our other rc's and focus on our "EVO's" !

obviously not much has been done (just got tranny to work and driveline hooked up) have an airtronics 94358 servo on the way for steering duty, and will soon be making an order with mike for a 9920 a motor (7xl/8xl/9xl) and also some new batts (see brushless forum where I posted questions about which motor/batts to get if anyone feels like giving pointers on that)

since I have not come across any twin force cups, looks like we will have to go the aluminum angle- route for now. I was really hoping to get twin force cups as I like having my batts super secure, and having them mounted in plastic makes me feel better.

Here are two pics of mine thus far, hopefully more to come once I decide on the motor and cells to run.

Sorry the pics suck, I need a new digi cam. I hacked up a 3 racing revo tranny cover to make it work on the emaxx tranny (middle 4 screws go directly down to the chassis to hold tranny) then the outer 4 go on outside of the cover to secure the cover down, and also screw into the tranny housing.

I know its not much compared to the super custom jobs out there, but so far I like it! :o

Mike

P.S. If anyone can locate twin force battery cups LET ME KNOW!!!

I like it too. Nice work. And thanks for mentioning me, it's nice to be known for something here.
I'm glad if I inspire people to do some custom tinkering.

As for TF trays, Mike is on their trace! I know he found a Kyosho distributor, and is collecting orders so he can place a big order.
Let him know.

Did you get that motorplate anodized?

O really, thats good to hear about the trays. I have a few pm's back and forth with him, but didnt want to bother him again if there was no word on them.

And yes I retained my motor plate from my emaxx that I sent out for black anno' a couple years back (had a project "black maxx" that was all anno'd black)

just buy some easy-off oven cleaner (yellow top) its in an aerosol spray. spray it on (like a foam) then let it sit for like an hour or two (I usually spay it on a few times) then just get an old rag and start rubbing, and the annodizing will come off.
