Questions about My Nue and 4 celled Lipo racing in MT - 10.21.2008, 02:06 AM

Ok, I want to race in RC Pro next year. I want a good reliable setup, but won't have much money to invest. My current setup is a G2R revo, Neu 1515/2.5d/f, quark 125 w/no mods on a RC-Monster esc plate, The current gearing is 20/51 on a strobed Emaxx tranny w/half tranny conversion and 1/8 buggy diffs. The Limit for RC pro is 4S lipo in MT. I have run my setup on 4s and 5s, 4s on BrianG's calc gets me 28MPH drag adjusted, the total ratio currently is 14.52628 : 1 with a circumfrence on tires at 18.22 inches (462.82 mm) (40 series crimefighters). I plan to run Losi wheel/tire setup for racing.

On 5s the speed with all above info is 35 MPH drag adjusted, Thats my target speed, feels right to me.

My question is, Can the 1515/2.5d/f pull a 25 tooth pinion on 4s? I can run it all day in 5s with 20/51 and it not even get warm (love that neu and quark). Most of the races should be under 30 minutes, qualifiers are around 5 to 7 minutes. Has anyone tryed to run a Neu 1515/2.5d to its limit on 4s? I know its not the right motor for the Job, but thinking it might be good enough to pull it right. BTW the ratio with the 25 pinion will be 11.62103 : 1

Sorry for the long post and bad typing, I couldn't copy the chart to post here. How do you post the charts BTW?

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
