Gearing for 9xl 18-20 cells

Greetings, I am going to be running 9xl 18-20 cells 51-t mod 1 spur fastlane bulks with 8 spyder diffs, also single speed conversion in my e-maxx. My question is what pinion should I use?

Sorry for keeping you waiting like that. Allow me to give you this suggestion: start form the smallest pinion and go up from there untill you find the most effecient ratio( one that gives you both speed and torque while keeping your system (whether brushless or brushed) at a moderate temp). For a Mod1 51 spur, use a pinion of the same module that has 10-11 teeth and start from there.

I would start with a 12/51 and do some tests from there, see what you like, and what gets a nice runtime and keep an eye on the temp of the speedo and the 9XL
