Looks like you didn't have them make two packs! Or are both packs that size? You can probably send the pack back to wherever you got it from and have them reconfigure it into two packs of the appropriate size.

Hmm.. If you find a way to mount the steering and shifting servo out of the way of the battery tray area, you might be able to squeeze it under.. Didn;t you take measurements before you ordered the packs? What are the specs of those packs? Looks like 4200 mah and maybe 5s?

You are going to have to get creative with your straps. Rotate them 90 degrees and then turn them upside down (so the velcro works propperly). I had a similar situation with the 28 cells that I'm running. Sounds confusing, so I will take a pic of mine and show you tomorrow if you like.

Contact maxamps and tell them this. If your lucky they will take it back, but I hope it's not a custom pack, changes are they won't take those back since they can't tell if someone else buy's it or not.

I am curious, what is the total Lipo setup you are planning on running?

Two 18.4 volts 4200 packs, to be run as a 8400 18.4 pack.. (Ryan is a member of the 1/2 hour+ runtime club..)

He might not be able to rebuild it, actually. Maxamps does a lot of welding with their Lipo packs, and if there is a weld close enough to the cell (on the tab), it wouldn't be worth it to redo the pack.
