Zippy-H in emaxx 3905 trays - 11.15.2008, 08:52 PM

hey guys,

i'm wanting to buy these batterys with this charger for my birthday (soon) but i don't know if they will fit in the stock 3905 emaxx's trays. i know length is fine but i'm not sure of width.

any one have these batterys in their emaxx?

or does anyone know if they will fit?

if they don't then i've already got a solution but i want to know if i'm going to have to hack up my chassis.

any help is appreciated.

PS any one know what happened to the Zippy R's on Hobbycity?

i read some where that they were just over stocked enerlands so there won't be any more until enerland has them over stocked again.

is this correct?

I use this zippy in my flm maxx its do well with mmm + neu1515/y and long run time. about the new e-maxx I dont have one but I think this zippy is too wide so will not fit.

believe me e-maxx + 6s = unstable
go with 4s you will get 42-50 mph depend on your gearing

I might be trippin again, but Im sure someone on the idiot forum mentioned that 50mm was the widest you could fit into the 3905 trays, so 51mm would squeeze the lipo- not good. Have a look at the other lipos they sell though, like the rhino packs or plain silver packs with no shrink wrap on them.

No, they will not fit. Not even close. I tried it once and there was no shot at getting them in. I don't know that you can hack a 3905 chassis up enough to make it work. I chopped up my 3906 chassis to make them work but the 3905 has a much different design. The Zippy H packs are longer and wider than 7 cell NiMh.

The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.

alright, well thanks for the opinions,

i know that the Zippy H's will fit in the 3905 trays length wise but if they're too wide then i'll just hack the sides out of the trays.

problem solved.
