Going price - 11.20.2008, 09:16 AM

What would be the going price on a G2 aluminum maxx chassis with emaxx tranny, ue 6spyder diffs, ue racerx suspension, UE super shocks, UE gen iv servo saver, 645mg servo, ue 6mm cvd's, GA 7075 bulks, UE khead towers with wing and wingmount and 2 sets of wheels and tires (sportmaxx on rpm rims and road rage on proline rims)

Just curious as I am new to electric and feel a bit lost...

Thanks

I saw a truck of a very close spec to that sell for less than $300 once. I'd say you'd be looking at about $300-400 tops for a roller of that calibre. It would cost more to buy the parts individually (used), but as a roller, I reckon that sounds about right in my tiny mind.

Looking at the list you put up there, if you were to purchase all of that brand new it would be in the realm of $1000. That is a lot of good quality gear listed, and Neil is right about the resale value using garage sale pricing with $300 to $400. Not a bad start for a newb wanting to break into the Brushless arena. I did something very similar 3 years ago and picked up approx $1800 in UE equipment on EBay for $700 from someone who just wanted to get out of the hobby due to family problems. Good luck with that venture.

Sorry. - 11.20.2008, 05:57 PM

sorry about that. I wasn't trying to be rude. Excuse my ignorance. Well if you have been in the hobby for a while you have a headstart on a lot of people and teh learning curve should not be that bad. Plus there are a lot of good people in here that can help improve that curve even more. From my perspective brushless is just as much fun as nitro, but without the mess of dealing with fuels and engine tuning. I hope that roller purchase works out for you.

The electrical side is easy enough to understand, once you get you head around the basics concerning motor, esc and battery selection. Im sure we will all happily chime in with suggestions when the time comes.

Yea it takes more work that way, but in the long run you can fare much better with the final financial outcome. If all goes well I would bet that you could get very close to what you paid for those items by parting it out rather than trying to sell a roller.

Yup, just part it out. You'll get more money doing it this way.

By the way, which revo do you have right now, 2.5R or 3.3?
