Car ESC from Bidproduct - 11.21.2008, 11:40 AM

Hello,
I am a new hear and I am from Luxembourg, a little country in Europe(my English is not very good, so be nice) and I came here because I have a question, of course. So, I bought a Thunder Tiger ST-1 Roller chassis(no Motor etc) and I want to do Brushless in it. Because I'm only 16, I don't want spend too much.
I want to buy this Motor and 5S 4900mah Rhino Lipos from unitedhobbies. But unfortunately, the ESC is the expensivest on the Car. I looked at the Mamba Max ESC, but it only can work with 3S(4S without BEC). So, I looked more...the Mamba Monster Max is too expensive, an the Losi ESC too. So, I searched more an found this: Link . I mean the Yellow ESCs, "Two Way Brushless ESC 80A for Car with Break With BEC."
Does anybody has bought them and can say something about them? Are they good? And does the Brake works well(the Most important, otherwise I could use a Plane-ESC). I would be very happy if somebody could help me

best regards from Luxembourg,
gigi

I have all three of those ESCs shown. They do an OK job. Startup isn't the smoothest, the amp rating is overstated, and the throttle is a bit sluggish compared to Castle products. You also get no warranty from most sellers. The brakes work fine.

Works decent on a budget, but you are getting what you pay for and no more.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your answer. When the rating ist over-stated, that's no so well....what do you think can the 80Amp. handle?
Ich have read a bit more in the Forum and found this ESC: Link It seems to be very nice, but I can't find a Shop who sells it. Does anybody know a Shop? I found a Shop that sells de exrun 120A, but it costs 190€(around 240$), so I had better to buy a Mamba Monster Max I think...
But the Ezrun with 150A continoues seems to be very interesting, but I can't find a Shop, it would be very helpful if you knew one

best regards,
gigi

It's not available for sale yet. The last time I spoke to HW, they told me that they have an issue with the hardware of the ESC and my sample wasn't ready yet. I'm also not expecting it since all my help I provided for HW has gone unoticed. If you could wait, Hobbycity will probably carry them as they carry the other eZRun line of ESCs and motors.

Several threads on it. Basically a plane esc with car software, but works okay for what it is- 5s lipo capable, but not as smooth as decent brand escs, and needs an external BEC I seem to recal. For ~$100, there are better options available..

Nope...

If you search for '100amp esc' or 'cheap esc' you should find them though. Thing is, only one person has tried them and they didnt have much to say really- JRHolmes has also tried just about every cheap variety of esc too so might be worth asking him for ideas. For $100 though, I'd say go MM and UBEC for best results with 4s lipo.

Hello,
I have now bought the Bidproduct Motor with 1380kv, and I will use it on 5S with a 16t pignon. So, I am thinking about to buy this Motor mount:
http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...rod=rcmttst1mm

Does anybody know if the Bidproduct Motor fits with that Motor mound?(with the 16t pignon?)
Thanks for replies.

best regards,
gigi

Any motor with the m3 25mm bolt pattern will fit our motor mount. :)
