Any word on steel diff for Stampede? - 04.21.2005, 07:02 PM

Scratch diff gear 2. Not even 2 packs this time. I had the slipper clutch too loose and all it did was spin and take forever to get up any speed. Tightened it up about a 1/4 turn and it went out turned around and I gave it some throttle and shredded the diff again. I'm not sure if I'll wait till I can get a steel diff from Cold Fusion before fixng it or just run nothing but 5 or 6 cell packs till I get one. I e-mailed Andy but haven't heard anything so I'm assuming he doesn't have any at the moment.

And to think I was going to get the Fiegao 6s. The 8s I got should come with a warning for people putting it in a stampede that without an all metal tranny to run no more than 6 cells.:L: :L: :L: :L:

No word yet on the diffs. I had the same issues with my stampede. Smaller tires help, as does a loose slipper. also, try to accelerate a little slower and never land a jump on power. This will keep you running for a bit, but the steel diff gear is what you need.
