What's the best neu on 6s in an e-revo ?

I'm going to order an mmm esc and a neu motor to run i my e-revo :) but i don't know witch one to choose ? i'm going to run it on 6s lipo ! Can the stock e-rovo driveline handle an 1521 motor ?

I would go with a 2.5D or a 1.5Y. I wouldn't trust the stock E-Revo to handle a 1521, I stripped a diff with a 1515 and there are people snapping U-Joints with V-Twins.

1515 2.5d (1650kv) is a good 6s motor, but it depends what you mean by "best".

+1 on the 1515 2.5d on 6S. I run it and it's a great combo. Tons of power without being TOO fast.

what gearing would be good for that 1515 2.5d (1650kv) motor ? For hard bashing offroad ? oh and woud the 2200kv 1515 motor work on 6s ? The castle new mt combu uses there version of this motor right ? I was thinking that the 2200kv motor might be better for me because then i can run 6s for bashing and 4s for racing and get good preformance with both battery set-ups?

The 1515 1y (2200kv) can handle 6s, but only as a on pavement speed run machine. They get unruly on anything over 4s. 4s is ideal at 2200kv. I ran that in my e-revo and loved it. I have moved it to a 1/8 buggy now and it is just silly with power.

1515 2.5d is borderline on 6s IMO! I've been running it geared for 40MPH and it's just insane! In Order to give full throttle you better have a 1000' stretch so you can ease into it slowly. Even at 25-30 if I hit mine it flips over backwards! Running on 5s now and thats alot more tolerable, wheelies on command from a stop but otherwise much more controlable. Actually running the same gearing on 5s which on the calculator is only 33-34MPH yet it seems just as fast cause it's actually putting the power to the ground. I would recomend something below 1650kv on 6s to have something thats actually driveable.

No and no.

A lower kv motor will be slower on any given voltage compared to a higher kv motor;

kv = rpms per volt.

So a bl-motor with lower kv doesn't have more low-end tq ?hmm i've winden a lot of cd-motors for airplanes and the ones with lots of winding turns was alot stronger than the one's with less winds ?

I mostly bash my e-revo ! So the motor scould be made mostly for bashing ! and i whant it to run cool for a longtime like 20-40min's ! How big lipopacks do i need to get 20-40min's runtime and maby 45-50mph topspeed ?

with a 1515/2.5d and a quality 6s 5000 lipo pack expect run times of about 25 mins

It is true that lower kv motors will have more torque, but the difference is only noticeable when there is a big change in kv rating, rather than 1600kv vs 2200kv. It also has a lot to do with the size of the motors- a big fat 22xx series motor will be a lot stronger than a 15xx series, but then you dont spin the larger motors so fast as they use tall gearing to make their speed.

Outrunners that are used in planes make tons of torque, but they are a very different animal to inrunners, so the amount or size of the windings tends to be quite different- again, much more pronounced difference in torque vs speed really.

I'd say for your bashing purposes a 1600kv 1515 neu would be ideal- run it on 6s with appropriate gearing and it will last atleast half an hour with 6s lipos; thats the beauty of a higher voltage & lower kv setup = less current draw due to better efficiency.

As for which lipos- a pair of 3s 5000mah items is fine, or a pair of 6s 4000mah in parallel if you wanna go a bit nuts on the runtime. Nothing lower than 20-30c though for the 3s lipos, or 15-25c for the 6s lipos.
