My BL CRT .5 conversion -
12.29.2008, 06:42 PM
Hey guys! I thought I would share this with you, I have recently bought a Jammin CRT .5 to convert to BL. Here's my setup:
Esc: eZ-Run 60a
Motor: Traxxas VXL
Battery: Fusion-Pack 2s1p 5200mah 7.4v
Radio: Futaba 2PL
Receiver: Futaba R152JE
I will take some pics of everything tomorrow when I get the truck. What do you guys think? I still need to buy a rcm battery tray, or make my own.

I think I will have this guy who works out at my grandpas farm make me something real quick until I get some more money. I spent like $150 today at my lhs and I only bought a battery and capacitor lol.

I got everything, its pretty slow due to the 12 tooth pinion. I am going to have a 20 tooth made and with that I could get 39mph without overheating.

I went out bashing with my buddy and I put this little truck through some crap, and it still runs flawlessly. Thanks Semi Pro for a great little truck!
I found a little bashing spot behind a Sonic thats a mile away from my house. Tomorrow I'm going back and my buddy and I are going to make some more jumps and I might make a video. I
I ended up making a little plate that goes in front of the center diff, then I put velcro on that and on the chassis. I landed really hard up-side-down and the battery fell out, but it stayed in through all of the other jumps and flips.
P.S.: The jump we were hitting was about 5 ft. tall.

Oh and after about 20min of driving my battery was still at 7.60 volts. It cost me $125 at my lhs, but it is a great little battery.

I have also added Traxxas big bores in the rear of the truck so it would be better for jumping. My next upgrade will be jato shocks in the front(the front suspension sucks even with 60 wt oil). Pics are coming next, then maybe a vid.

If you can swing the GTR Revo shocks, I would spend the money for the AL ones....
