Dual BL, CF, Wild Dagger project * UPDATE 12-07-05 * - 12.07.2005, 03:56 PM

for those of you that have not seen the project:

- my custom CF chassis.
- R2C2 aluminum Gearcases, extended arms, Maxx size wheels.
- Aluminum hub carriers, C-hubs, steering knuckles.
- dual Lehner 4200's and schulze 18.61k controllers on 7cells each.

update to the project, i fabricated some new shock towers that changed the suspension setup - works wonderfull :)

so much customization i havent worked out the steering yet. think the project started about March or so. 13" wheelbase. hoping to get steering worked out in the next week or so.

That is fantastic custom work! Really good to see so much dedication!

How did you design it? Did you do the CAD/CAM work?

Cool stuff Justin!

But why did you get schulze controllers?
And why did you made the three plates inside the frame? are these to give the speedo's place?

Is the escs going to handle the 4200s. The amp rating seems kind of low.

They should do i think when all 4 wheels are on the ground because they only have half a truck to shift.Only problem is when the front wheels are up the rear motor will be well loaded. That's why i was thinking to suggest to dagger thrasher to use a 9920 in the rear and 7020 up front.Although as you have proven the 70 amp warrior is rather robust and since the 4200 doesn't pull so many amps anyway.

I guess they basics. I was thinking xl. :D The little 7020 is a strong little controller. I had it on a 7xl to. :D

i have had good luck with schulze (knock on wood). i have 4 other schulze controllers on top of the 18.61k's.

the 3 plates in the center are for mounting the controllers, and other electronics. the front center plate is for mounting the steering servo, which i still have to measure for mounting.

i cut the CF with a scroll saw. i have cut a lote of CF chassis designs with the scroll saw.
