Mamba Max Castle Link non-functional with Windows 7 64-bit

After many re-installs of the Castle Link software (and much disappointment when it didn't have any effect) I looked around online some and found out that the Mamba Max internal link hardware doesn't like 64-bit Windows so much. Anyone have any idea as to what the problem is?

Works fine on my machine running W7 x64 Home Premium

Did you follow castle's install instructions ?

It's not the software that doesn't work. It's my controller. When I plug it in to connect to the software, I get nothing.

Is it an original Mamba Max with a usb port ?

Does plugging into the usb port work rather than the castle link ?

Ok here is what you have to do...

Upgrade to the latest firmware or at least above 1.24 (IIRC) on a windows 32bit machine.

Then use the castle link adapter or fieldlink to connect the ESC via the RX cable and it will work fine.

There is no 64bit HID driver for the onboard USB but there is one for the Castle USB link.

Yea that's what I heard. I was just wondering why there's no 64-bit driver for the on board hardware.

They buy the USB chip - I can't recall the manufacturer but castle swapped to using a hid driver and there was no 64 one for that chip

Guess that means I'll have to buy an adapter.

Windows 7 should give you the option to run Windows XP on it after downloading a couple of things (free) from Microsoft.

It's called Windows XP Mode:

I use it on my Windows 7 64-bit for some programs that only work on XP 32-bit.

It says it won't work with Windows 7 Home Premium.

This worked like a charm... couldnt figure out what you were talking about at first but them i remembered my connector for my micro mamba, man it pays to have multiple castle creations products.
