XP30 Radio help - 03.01.2009, 04:50 PM

I went to drive my BL GTP today and my Associated XP30 FM radio wont work 6 feet away.It worked fine before I swapped it out of my BL SC8E.I have a MMMv3 in each car.Its the XP30 radio because I checked the MMMs with my other radio a spectrum dx2 and it works perfect.Everything works it calibrates just fine steering work but it just goes wacko around 6 feet away with either car.All epa are set correct along with throttle trim centered,I took the receiver apart to look for anything obvious and it all looks good.

So is it the transmitter or the receiver?

Dont know I tested bothe systems with the Spectrum DX2 and no problems there.I tested both systems with the XP30 and they both calibrate etc but you loose radio control 7-10 feet away from each car.

So it sounds like the transmitter? Can you try the dx2 tx with the xp30 rx or are they different frequencies?

The batteries might be low also.

If you have another receiver that will work with the XP30, try that. If that doesn't fix it, its the TX.
