Big 'ol write up -

Well, I have a surgery tomorrow. Some of you know I complain here and there about bedrest, I've basically lived in a bed for the past 15 months due to complications with pressure sores. I can't feel when my butt gets sore so the constant sitting is a problem for me and many that are wheelchair bound.
So, tomorrow I get a little plastic surgery to close the extra hole in my butt. They will harvest tissue from my ass or thigh and fill in the whole. The fun part? 6 weeks of strict bedrest on my side in a hospital for recovery. During the recovery, I'm going to attempt to have my spine straightened. Due to not having core muscles my torso looks like it melted and fell to the side, which caused uneven pressure, and the resulting pressure sores which have plagued me for so long.
So, hopefully I can schedule a spinal surgery to cure the problem rather than addressing the symptoms. Kinda crazy, I'm hoping for back surgery.
I don't know how much I'll be online. I assume a lot less, but that's what I thought when my laptop died. Hopefully the hospital has wireless........

Here's hoping for a good outcome. I always say that surgery is like getting recued by a helicopter, it seems like a terrible idea until you need it and then it's the best thing in the world. Anyway, I wish you well.

Thanks. It's all "low tech" stuff as far as the surgeries go, It's the 6 week recovery that'll suck.

Good luck with it Harold. I know all of us here are wishing you the best with your surgery and recovery. And if you get the laptop/wireless working in the hospital, be sure and get a webcam pointed at the hot nurses!

I've been really curious about my son's future being wheelchair bound, and I think you're giving me some insight. As it is, he's small enough that we just don't let him sit in one position for too long. He has a few different types of chairs around the house to sit in, so we move him around a lot. Let's hope he doesn't grow too much!
Good luck, Harold! I hope your nurses are great to you and that the time goes by quicker than expected. You're in our prayers.

Good luck with all of that Harold. Hope the hospital has wireless, cause if not I will be missing your humor! Ok this is starting to sound like a Jerry2k1 post, but heres to a speedy recovery! (waving my glass of scotch wildly in the air!)

wouldn't it be the luck that they give you a gay male nurse and he is just a little too enthusiastic about giving you your daily sponge bath.....

If it was somebody else I'd have doubts about the origins of the "extra hole in the ass" lol
I saw some chicks on Redtube who would prolly pay good money for one of those hahaaha
Here's to a successful surgury and internet access and hot nurses! Maybe you'll get one that will wanna watch the "nurse training videos" on RT on how to properly take care of their patients ;)

Best of luck! I can't wait for the NGW video. I'll miss your funny post if they don't have wi-fi.

Good luck Harold! I hope you get a hot babe for your nurse (unless of course you prefer the gay one)
