Got an Emaxx -
02.14.2009, 06:35 PM
Have a Emaxx 3906(old version) in the mail. comes with
-MIP Cvd's all around
-Hs645mg servo
-tq3
-revo wheels and tires
-powerline shocks
-RRP spur gear
Im planning on keeping it brushed, for the moment, maybe swap the mmm 2200 combo in and out.
Picking up your average everyday brushed esc...
Is it worth wild to do the single speed mod? if so does anyone have a link to it

Looks great Ben! Should be lots of fun. Now flip the tranny, lock it in 2nd, get FLM hybrids, FLM chassis, RPM arms, wing and wing mount, Medusa 36-80, MMM, aluminum towers, skids, braces, and then it should be just about perfect.

If you plan to leave it brushed, leave the 2 speed. A MM is a good esc to run the titans, and it can also run a bl motor (duh).
As far as the 2200 combo, get ready to change diffs often. And center driveshafts. Old emaxxs are best left light and stock, and moderate brushless setups is all they can handle. I have a bk 9920 and a 15l that I ran on 5-6s that would be great in that truck, as I ran it in an almost identical truck. I will give you a good price on it if you are interested...

Yep if you are upping the power you will need to strengthen the diffs and tranny.

thinking of a big motor conversion.. the esc i have is a victor 883. it can handle some big-ass motors (cim), what about a dual 650 or single larger motor?

if you're gonna run brushed I have an old stomper I don't use anymore. It's the 2 speed and I think it still has a AA battery in it.
also if you don't want to go brushless you could leave it in neutral and make "vroom" noises as you push it.
you could pull it out when the rest of the neighborhood kids play with their hot wheels and run 'em all over
you could bring it to school for show and tell
you could power it with a mousetrap
you could "have faith" it's fast
I'm just bustin' balls man. Make the !@#$ing thing brushless.
