Savage flux shock tower - 02.09.2009, 11:29 AM

I want put a aluminum shock tower on my savage flux but in the optionnal part i just see aluminum a-arm, c-hud but no shock tower. If the bulkhead is the same as the x or xl shock tower is supposed to fix ?

FLM makes a very nice shock tower w/ great replacement warrantee for ~$25ea. Very thick and tons of mounting holes for shocks as well. RCM has them in the store. It also has built-in mounts for a wing. I think the hotbodies LSP wing kit is the one that fits IIRC. It should kit any model of savages inc the flux. Check to see if the plastic HPI shock tower is the same part # on the Flux as an X or XL to be sure.

Also, if you want to put lst shocks on, FLM has adapters that work with the kit.

You dont need those adaptors unless you get the flm towers, and they also wont fit the stock towers if anyone is interested to know...

You can mount lst shocks with the stock plastic lst shock mount and washer (although the plastic mount that goes through the 'eye' of the shock needs to be trimmed where the hex nut usually sits) and the long stock savage flux shock tower screw and nut will work fine.

Try and find a thick spacer for some strength for the screw that goes through the bottom of the shock tho - will try and get pictures some day =)
